English for Hospitality Operators

The contemporary hospitality industry is a fast moving one that requires front line operators to not only be able to demonstrate high levels of practical skills but also be able to communicate in the common language of English. This course provides exactly these skills and provides the perfect mix of polishing up technical skills whilst improving communication via the spoken word and also the finer nuances of body language and how to understand hospitality terminology.

This course takes place in both classroom and in our practical restaurant simulated environment.  Learners will acquire the necessary technical skills and other relevant competencies required for food service operations.

You will experience various techniques relating to order taking with upselling and suggestive selling, order processing and serving orders included. Managing reservations and handling simulated complaint scenarios will increase the learners competencies. You will learn the different type of crockeries and cutleries, and how to pair them by courses and course by course clearing. With the core competencies taught, learners are equipped with enhanced customer service skills, professionalism and service efficiency to tackle the industry. Practical skills are increased and the levels of appropriate English are increased at the same time.
